TranS: Redefining Moveable Isolation Strips for Convenience

Isolation strips are a common sight in our daily lives, often used in public areas to manage crowd flow and maintain order. However, the process of setting up or replacing these strips can be tiring and time-consuming. TranS aims to address this issue by introducing a moveable isolation strip that is easier to handle and transport.

The traditional isolation strip is heavy and requires workers to manually move each strip individually. This can be a cumbersome task, especially when dealing with a large number of strips. TranS eliminates this challenge by transforming the weight plate of the isolation strip into a moveable wheel. Workers can now simply pull up the steel pillar, causing the balance weight plate to fall and rotate 90 degrees, turning it into a moveable wheel. This innovative design allows for easy transportation of the isolation strip, saving time and effort for workers.

TranS is not only convenient but also durable and well-crafted. The design is realized using silicone injection molding and stainless steel molding technology, ensuring a sturdy and reliable product. With dimensions of 350mm (width) x 350mm (depth) x 900mm (height), TranS is suitable for a wide range of interior and outdoor environments, including airports, cinemas, concerts, exhibitions, and more.

The development of TranS was a collaborative effort by the talented team at Industrial Design College - LAFA. Led by designers Xue Wenkai, Sun Jian, Du Heli, Liu Zhipeng, and Xue Bomu, the team overcame various creative, technical, and research challenges to bring this innovative design to life.

TranS has already gained recognition in the design community, receiving the Bronze A' Design Award in the Idea and Conceptual Design category in 2019. This prestigious award acknowledges the design's outstanding creativity and resourcefulness, as well as its contribution to improving quality of life.
